Tint Care

Care and Cleaning

We suggest that you wash and vacuum your vehicle prior to the window film installation process. It is crucial that your vehicle is clean and free of dust and debris in order to ensure optimal film adhesion and prevent imperfections once the film is applied.

Drying

Your new window film may take 5 to 7 days to dry and sometimes longer depending on the weather and type of film installed. Until your film is cured they may seem hazy or bumpy. Do not roll your windows down until the film has dried.

Cleaning
Window film may be cleaned with a soft clean cloth and alcohol based cleaner. We recommend SPRAYAWAY glass cleaner. Do not use products with ammonia. This will damage the window film and void the warranty.

Black Dotted Edges
Most cars have a black ceramic edge on the rear window and quarter windows. These dots prevent the window film from sticking to glass. This results in a whitish looking stripe around the glass.

Seat Belt Chips
Caution should be used when releasing seat belts. Small chips can be made in the window film due to the seat belt hitting the glass as it is released, THIS IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.

Imperfections
Pre-existing flaws or scratches on the glass are much more noticeable after the windows are tinted. Though we strive for perfection with our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of minor imperfections are present in every window film application.

Defogger Distortion
At night you may notice the light from headlights will reflect off of the defogger lines. This is caused by the film having to bend around the raised defogger line. This varies from car to car and there is nothing that can be done about it.
